2. Pricing
The price refers to “per day” (24-hour period).
Damage waiver limits the customer’s liability for damage to the rented vehicle. The level of liability is the amount that the customer leaves as a deposit when renting the vehicle, which may vary depending on the type of vehicle, the method of payment, and the age of the customer.

3. Extra services
• Unlimited mileage
(2-day rental includes 600 km free of charge, excess mileage: €0.25/km including VAT)
• Out-of-hours service (9:01 p.m. to 7:59 a.m.) – €15
• Optional extras purchased locally
• Transport by ferry – €20/transfer
• Traffic violations (traffic fines, municipal fines) are charged to the customer.

Daily charge per unit:
• Second driver – FREE (except LUXURY)
• Additional drivers – FREE (except LUX & VAN categories)
• Child seat – FREE
• Infant seat – FREE
• Snow chains: €8.00/day
• Surcharge for young drivers (under 23 years old): €8.00/day
• Surcharge for senior drivers (over 74 years old): €10.00/day

Reservations are confirmed for a category of vehicles, not for a specific model, except in the case of special vehicle categories.

6. Vehicle Condition
Vehicles must be returned to the location/drop-off point in the same condition as when they were picked up/delivered.
The customer is responsible for taking proper care of the vehicle.
The renter shall return the vehicle in a clean condition (normal wear and tear excluded). If the vehicle is extremely dirty upon return or if there is damage to the seats and upholstery, an additional charge for deep cleaning will apply. This charge will depend on the actual condition of the vehicle upon return.
Animals must be transported in our vehicle in their special carrier bag. Smoking is not permitted in the vehicle.

7. Payment Methods
All credit and debit cards are accepted for payment.
The card must be in the name of the main driver, who is also financially responsible for the rental.

8. Fuel policy
Please return the rental vehicle with the same fuel level as when you picked it up.
If the car is returned with less fuel, the customer will be charged for the refueling service.

9. Insurance
You have the option of purchasing additional insurance upon arrival at our office, reducing your liability for damage and wear and tear.
CDW – Basic insurance – Mixed

This insurance is provided free of charge and has a driver liability waiver (depending on the car category) in the event of an accident, which the renter is required to pay in the event of
SCDW – Super comprehensive insurance
Limits the renter’s personal liability by reducing the deductible amount for damage to the vehicle body.
What SCDW does NOT cover (Important Exclusions)
Although SCDW is the most comprehensive damage coverage, it does NOT cover the following, which you must pay for in full:
• The underside of the car.
• Windows/Windscreens (may be necessary)
• Tires and Rims (may be necessary)
• Mirrors.
• Damage to the interior (e.g., burnt seat).
• Damage caused by off-road driving or violation of the terms of the contract (e.g., driving under the influence of alcohol).
SCDW provides you with peace of mind by reducing the amount of the deposit/excess that the company holds on your credit card.

GTR – Insurance for tires, rims, and windows.
Covers damage to tires or rims caused by sharp objects, potholes, or impact with a curb. Covers the cost of repairing or replacing windshields, side windows, and rear windows due to external causes (e.g., stones).

Super Comprehensive Insurance (SCDW) and GTR are not available.

There is no insurance coverage for the following cases:
Damage caused to the underside of the car due to poor driving or off-road driving. The renter is solely responsible.
Loss or theft of personal items inside the car.
Loss of vehicle keys.
Any damage caused by a driver who was driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Damage caused by a driver who is not listed in the rental agreement.

Theft insurance
All vehicles are insured against theft. The renter is only liable for the excess (liability) amount per category.

THW – Theft Waiver.
Limits the driver’s liability for expenses arising from the theft of the rental car to a ‘liability waiver’ amount.
Theft liability (waiver amount) per category:
• A, B – €1,000.00
• C, D, E – €1,500.00
• Auto, SUV – €2,500.00
• 7-seater, 9-seater – €3,000.00
• LUX & VAN PROF – varies according to the estimated value of the vehicle
Option of optional theft insurance – reduction of liability (exemption)

10.Late Return
A vehicle is rented for the period specified in the rental agreement. At the end of the rental period, a 1-hour delay is free of charge; after 1 hour, an additional day’s rental will be charged.

11. Rental Requirements
1. Driver’s license
2. ID card or passport or residence permit.
3. Card/Cash for rental payment and security deposit
*License valid for at least 1 year and 2 years for special categories.

If your driver’s license is not from the European Union or the United Kingdom and if it is not in the Roman alphabet (i.e., if it is in Cyrillic), you must carry an International Driving Permit and your domestic license with you. For driving licenses from countries that are not part of the international driving license treaty, an official translation of the license must also be presented along with the original license. When renting within Greece, customers from non-EU countries must also present an International Driving Permit along with their domestic license.
If a customer arrives at the rental office without the necessary documentation as mentioned above, the reservation will be canceled. In such cases, no refund will be given.

12. Driver age limits.
The minimum age for a driver is 21 years old and 23 or 25 for large and special categories of cars. The maximum age limit is 74 without additional charge; drivers under 21 and over 75 will be subject to an additional charge.
A minimum of one year’s driving experience is required for all categories. For luxury cars and trucks, two years of experience is required.
13. Travel outside Greece – Restriction
Crossing borders is not permitted. Renters are required to remain within Greece for the entire duration of their rental.

14. Roadside Assistance
Free 24 hours a day.

15. Accident
In the event of an accident or other incident, the renter or additional driver must immediately contact and inform our company. The company will replace the car, if it is not drivable, with a similar one depending on availability within 24 to 48 hours.
Replacement charge: The charge is set at approximately €0.56/km, including taxes and any other charges (e.g., towing, transport by ship, tolls, etc.), depending on the location of the damaged car.
HELLAS RENT bears no responsibility for anyone driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

16. Loss of Keys.
If keys are lost or destroyed, they are not covered by insurance or risk reduction packages. Drivers will be responsible for all costs related to recovery, loss of use, replacement of the car, and repair.

17. Vehicle Trackers
Some of our vehicles contain tracking devices that will be used in accordance with our data protection policy.

18. Personal Data (GDPR)
We keep your personal data safe and confidential in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act.

19. General Terms
All reservations are subject to our terms and conditions. Greek law applies to agreements concluded on the basis of the above terms. VAT on our services is 24%.
The vehicle may only be used by the renter or other drivers named in the rental agreement.
It is prohibited to use the vehicle
 for violating the provisions of the Greek Highway Code, for purposes contrary to Greek law.
 for towing other vehicles, transporting boats.
 for transporting heavy objects, flammable materials.
off paved roads.
for rental or subletting.
In case of non-compliance with the above terms of our company, the customer will accept responsibility and will not be covered by insurance or the exemption amount.
